In actual production, many customers encounter such a problem: the impeller of the quartz sand pump cannot be disassembled. What should be done about this?
In fact, as long as one understands the structure of the quartz sand pump, this problem can be easily solved. We know that the quartz sand pump uses centrifugal force to convey the slurry, so a rotating impeller is needed. The connection between the impeller and the pump shaft is also made by threading. To facilitate the disassembly of the impeller, when the quartz sand pump is designed, the impeller is connected to the pump shaft by reverse threading. This is why the impeller will be turned off when a new pump is installed. Therefore, when we initially install and use it, we must pay attention to the rotation direction of the impeller marked on the pump body. Do not let the impeller rotate in reverse to prevent it from damaging the pump body.
Therefore, when disassembling the impeller, we only need to fix the pump shaft and rotate the impeller in the opposite direction, and the impeller can be easily removed. For large pumps with impeller disassembly rings, the impeller disassembly rings need to be removed first, and then the impeller can be rotated.
For instance, for small-diameter quartz sand pumps without impeller disassembly rings, when it is necessary to disassemble the impeller, we only need to fix the pump shaft and rotate the impeller in the opposite direction according to the rotation direction on the pump body, and the impeller can be easily removed. However, for large-diameter quartz sand pumps, the impeller disassembly ring needs to be removed first, and then the impeller should be rotated in the opposite direction.
