Common faults of stainless steel sand pumps

(1) The pump doesn't rotate; (2) Insufficient pump flow; (3) Leakage at the packing area; (4) The pump vibrates and makes noise. (5) Bearing overheating; (6) Short bearing life.

Handling measures

(1) If the solid and hard deposits in the volute are clogged, measures can be taken to remove the clogging substances.

(2) If the impeller or the inlet and outlet water pipelines are blocked, the impeller or pipelines can be cleaned. If the impeller is severely worn, it should be replaced. If there is air leakage at the packing port, the packing should be compressed tightly. If the conveying height is too high, the resistance loss inside the pipe will be excessive. Reduce the conveying height or decrease the resistance.

(3) If the shaft and the feeding box are not centered on the same shaft, the main reasons are large processing errors and incorrect installation. It should be noted to check whether the installation is correct after installation. If the sealed water ring is severely worn, a new water ring needs to be replaced. If the sealed clear water pipe is clogged, the sealed water cannot enter the middle of the packing, causing the packing to wear out quickly and resulting in material leakage. The clogged water pipes should be unblocked to keep the sealed water clean.

(4) There are mainly the following five reasons ① The density of the medium is uneven. Uneven density of the medium causes vibration when the pump is just started. Once the pump is normally turned on, the vibration will disappear. This situation does not require treatment. Just before starting the pump, make sure to blow the medium evenly with high-pressure air. ② The pump is not installed horizontally. The level of the pump body should be checked during installation and operation. ③ Cavitation occurs, causing the impeller of the pump to be unbalanced. The installation height should be reduced, the outlet valve should be adjusted to decrease the inlet resistance. ④ The air intake in the suction pipe is uneven. The feeding situation of the pump should be improved and the uniformity and stability of the air intake should be strengthened. ⑤ The bearing clearance of the pump is large. Excessive bearing clearance can cause excessive vibration of the pump. During the daily operation of the equipment, it is necessary to always pay attention to observing the condition of the pump. If the pump shaft and the motor shaft are not concentric or the bearing is damaged, it should be dealt with in time.

(5) There are mainly the following five reasons If the cold water is not turned on or the cooling water tank is clogged, the cooling water function should be activated or the cooling water channel should be unblocked. ② The equipment is not well lubricated. The amount of lubricating oil should be adjusted according to the instructions. ③ The lubricating oil is not clean and there are impurities in it. The bearings should be cleaned and the lubricating oil replaced. ④ The direction of the thrust bearing is incorrect. Adjust the direction of the thrust bearing according to the import pressure situation. ⑤ The air outlet of the bearing is blocked, preventing the hot air inside the bearing housing from being discharged and causing the equipment temperature to rise. The exhaust port should be cleaned.

There are mainly the following four reasons: ① The motor shaft is asymmetrical or not parallel to the pump shaft. The motor shaft or pump shaft should be adjusted. If the shaft is deformed or bent, it should be replaced directly. ② The bearing assembly is unreasonable. Reinstall the bearings and shafts, or replace the bearings. ③ There is friction inside the pump or the impeller is unbalanced. Friction should be eliminated or a new impeller should be replaced. ④ Poor lubrication. Excessive or insufficient impurities can both lead to a short service life of the bearing. The bearing should be removed, cleaned and then used again.
