In the oil drilling mud circulation system, as an indispensable accessory pump, the sand pump adopts an axial suction structure, and its flow-through components are made of anti-wear cast iron. It is suitable for transporting corrosive drilling fluids with suspended particles or other similar liquid media under working conditions. It is the best accessory pump for desanders, desilters, and jet mixing devices. The SB series sand pump can also be used as a grouting pump for auxiliary grouting of mud pumps and a feed pump at the wellhead.
The sand pump is an indispensable auxiliary equipment in the treatment of slurry. Correct maintenance not only extends the service life of the sand pump but also improves its working efficiency. Under normal circumstances, a normally operating sand pump should be maintained once every 8 hours, which is carried out by the on-duty pump operator.
Then how should we maintain the sand pump?
1. Before starting up, check if all the bolts are loose and if the actions of all the instruments are sensitive and accurate.
2. It is prohibited for the pump to operate for a long time in a cavitation state.
3. Conduct a round inspection of the operation of the pump and motor every two hours.
4. The bearings of the pump should be lubricated with oil every 500 hours of operation to ensure excellent lubrication.
5. After the pump has been in operation for a long time, if the noise and vibration of the unit increase due to mechanical wear, the machine should be stopped for inspection. If necessary, the vulnerable parts and bearings can be replaced.
6. The lubrication of mechanical seals should be clean and free of solid particles. It is strictly prohibited to operate mechanical seals under dry grinding conditions. If there are any problems, add lubricating oil or replace it in time.
7. Before starting, the pump (motor) should be turned by hand for several turns to prevent sudden start-up from causing the sealing ring to break and get damaged.
8. After use, do a good job of cleaning the unit to ensure that the sand pump is clean for the next use.
